Adventure at the cutting edge
From pioneering new heli routes in Africa to organising the first private submersible dives in Antarctica, we have a track record in applying new technologies safely and innovatively.
Today, that means creating first-of-their kind adventure concepts for EVTOL sky cars. Working with the world’s leading hybrid aircraft manufacturer to deliver the explorer yachts of the skies. And, being among the first to charter the most luxurious space flight.
We also know that there’s so much to discover beneath our planet’s surface, having operated submersible trips around the world – discovering Roman shipwrecks in the Mediterranean and diving among great shark aggregations in the Pacific.
Space Perspective, Jetson EVTOLs & Hybrid Air Vehicles
[Cookson Adventures’ trips] are designed for people with a curiosity and thirst for exploring without sacrificing the highest levels of comfort and safety.
A history of innovation
We’ve operated everything from explorer yachts and submersibles to helicopters and planes in environments and destinations no-one has before. It’s this innovative – and safe – application of new technology that has seen us push the boundaries of what’s possible in private travel. After all, when Henry Cookson became the first to reach the South Pole of Inaccessibility without mechanical assistance, it was in part down to innovations in weight-saving and kit-skiing technology.
Access all areas
From the heights of space down to the depths of the ocean, you can explore the unexplored. Back closer to land, hybrid aircrafts and EVTOLs also offer something new, able to land where traditional aircraft can’t and experience phenomena in a new way, whether it’s going deeper into Greenland’s monolithic icecap or hopping between Utah’s towering buttes in a sky car.
Track record in safety
Having delivered dozens of polar expeditions, hundreds of hours of submersible dives and trips everywhere from Yemen to the North Pole, we have an unblemished safety record. Throughout, we’ve always worked with relevant governing bodies and rigorously certified crafts to ensure that our in-house risk and compliance processes are of the highest standard.
Be the first
At their core, these opportunities are the chance to be the very first to experience something new. While that’s not bad for bragging rights, it also means you’ll gain a fresh perspective few have ever enjoyed.
Responsible travel
The emissions of our recommended spacecraft are near-zero. Hybrid aircrafts reduce emissions by 75% against comparable aircraft. And, by their very nature, personal EVTOL “sky cars” are electric. Together, they not only represent the future of travel, but the future of sustainability.
Exploring in comfort
Travelling slowly with the likes of an onboard bar and plush seating means that balloons are the most luxurious way to experience space. Hybrid aircrafts with their slow, low-altitude travel and en-suite cabins make for a yacht-like experience. And, submersibles’ plush seating and fully pressurised atmosphere means you can travel down to the ocean floor in absolute comfort, without decompression.
Accessibility
Despite operating at the bleeding edge, passengers in submersibles, hybrid aircrafts and space balloon flights don’t require extensive training or physical capabilities – meaning these experiences are accessible to all. And, for EVTOLs, user friendly controls and zero license requirements in the US means you can be up and running in your personal sky car in no time. Throughout, you’ll be looked after industry-leading pilots and safety systems.
Scientific understanding
Whether it’s monitoring coral bleaching from hybrid aircraft flyovers, collecting atmospheric data from your space flight or using submersibles to monitor deep-sea species – there’s plenty of opportunity to advance our understanding of the planet with these technologies. We’ve already conducted hundreds of hours of seabed mapping, sharing this data with leading researchers.
Flexibility
Much of the joy of these new technologies lies in their capacity to explore with flexibility. See a geographic feature that looks interesting? Fly up for a closer look on your EVTOL. Find something unusual on a 3D model of the ocean floor? Take the sub down to explore – we’ve discovered many new dive sites this way. Or, with hybrid aircrafts requiring just 600m of surface – from sand to water – you can land almost at will, to explore with your garage of toys.
The next big things
Explorer yacht of the skies
Airlander 10
With buoyancy provided by the least reactive element – inert helium – this is the chance to relive the golden age of slow travel in modern standards of luxury, safety and sustainability. Available through us for private charter, expect to gaze out over Africa’s great migrations from your elegant en-suite cabin or marvel at Greenland’s ice cap alongside polar bear researchers – drink in hand from the mixologist-served bar. Then, land almost at will, to explore with toys and tenders, perhaps fat biking in the Mongolian steppe or searching for desert-adapted wildlife with ATVs in Namibia.
Space travel at its most luxurious
Space Perspective
Swapping a few minutes of explosive rockets for a slow, controlled balloon ascent to Earth’s apogee means gentle enjoyment of our planet’s great curvature and space beyond. It’s the same technology used by Nasa for decades, delivering nearly zero emissions, though now with elegant seating and options for the likes of Michelin-standard dining. Simply, this is the most luxurious space experience, making it accessible to all levels of fitness.
Personal sky car
Jetson ONE
This is one for the fun seekers. This true “go-anywhere” technology means you can pilot your own EVTOL, exploring canyon systems, mapping waterways and flying up to 450m high over wild topography. It’s all predicated on an incredibly user-friendly interface, backed up by extensive safety systems – from radar sensors to auto-landing functionality. What’s more, in the US there’s no license requirements, so we’ve designed a special adventure concept in Utah – hopping between towering buttes to take in its wild remotes with bespoke luxury camps.
Deep-sea adventure
Submersibles
Having used first-of-its-kind 3D mapping technology to establish new scientific data and identify new dive sites, we’ve delivered innovative submersible dives from the Pacific to Antarctica. With no training required, it’s the chance for our guests to go beyond the depths of traditional dives to explore truly otherworldly ecosystems in comfort, perhaps with a pre-eminent marine biologist or marine historian sat next to them. Who knows what you might discover down there, whether it’s a previously unknown shipwreck or even a new species. Both of which our clients have helped discover on past trips.
