About us

Cookson Adventures specialises in crafting the most creative travel experiences on the planet, counting some of the world’s most successful individuals among our clients.

We’ve discovered both Roman shipwrecks and a new species of killer whale, rehomed giant tortoises by helicopter, and been the very first to pilot a private submersible in Antarctica.

As a team, we are dynamic, driven and share a passion for meaningful travel, with a focus towards environmental sustainability.

We have well-located offices in Holland Park, close to the leisure facilities of Westfield Shopping Centre and only a few minutes’ walk from the Central line and overground stations.

The role is primarily office based due to the location of the servers, with flexible working from home when required.

The role

We consider this a key hire for the business and are seeking a truly outstanding entrepreneurial and dynamic individual. Reporting into the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for heading up our finance function, implementing new reporting processes and helping to deliver our 2024 strategic plan.

The opportunity is particularly exciting for the right candidate as they are joining the business at exactly the right time to create their own role in a well-established and growing company.

The role demands a strong understanding of:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Payments and payment reconciliation
  • Project accounting
  • Identifying cost savings and managing budgets
  • Preparation of our end of year accounts
  • Compliance and regulatory accounting

Preferred skills

  • A genuine passion for travel, adventure and luxury
  • Experience on Xero or similar systems would be beneficial
