Videographer/ photographer

About us

Cookson Adventures specialises in crafting the most creative travel experiences on the planet, counting some of the world’s most successful individuals among our clients.

We’ve discovered both Roman shipwrecks and a new species of killer whale, rehomed giant tortoises by helicopter, and been the very first to pilot a private submersible in Antarctica.

As a team, we are dynamic, driven and share a passion for meaningful travel, with a focus on environmental sustainability.

We have well-located offices in Holland Park, close to the leisure facilities of Westfield Shopping Centre and only a few minutes’ walk from the Central line and overground stations.

The role is primarily office based, with flexible working from home when required.

The role

Your time will be split between capturing video and still media on location for Cookson-organised trips and putting together edits for both our private clients and marketing purposes.

As such, you’ll be capturing a wide variety of media, from drone photography and underwater videography to macro wildlife and adventure/expedition activities.

That’s all under challenging shoot conditions, including in the likes of polar, desert and underwater environs, as well as low-light events.

That could mean mounting GoPros on helis for a safari over a private reserve one moment and the next getting a close-up of a whale shark or an intimate evening around the campfire.

You’ll then be able to edit, grade and sound design to an in-house style, while bringinging your own personal creativity.

When we are running a larger trip, you’ll also be responsible for sourcing and managing a freelance media team of up to around three photographers and videographers.

It would also be ideal if you also have experience hosting trips yourself and working directly with UHNW clients.

Lastly, while you’ll definitely be expected to supply content for all marketing channels, including social media, it would be a plus if you had an interest and experience in managing or maintaining professional social media accounts.

Examples of work

In the last year alone, we have sent videographers on the following:

  • A conservation yacht trip to the Galápagos
  • Sub diving on shipwrecks
  • Heli safaris in Scotland
  • Large-scale Caribbean event with private A-list performance
  • Conservation trip to Panama
  • Bespoke Antarctic camp

Please see our public video library for an idea of marketing deliverables. This is a very limited selection of what we can share, and doesn’t include a much larger body of client work.
